Week 5: Fall Break Day 3

We kind of got ripped of today. We went to another town called Assilah to do some shopping since we "didn't get enough shopping done"yesterday. The town was by a beach and was much smaller. My favorite part of the day was riding camels in Tangiers. In total we only had 3 hours of actual activities and the rest was riding a bus. The bus rides were actually fun though. They played old Disney movies and throw back music. Of course there isn't as much to do in Morocco and everything is spread out so I understand the lack of activities. The ferry ride back took longer then normal. That's because there were kids holding on to the bottom of the bus since lunch which was like 3 hours. I was already complaining about the 3 hour bus ride but apparently the kids get burned from the hot engine. The bus goes through a heat scanner and that's how the kids were caught. If the kids were old enough, they get arrested for this and if not they just get shooed away. Apparently this happens all the time. They dropped us off in Sevilla at 11:30 at night which was kind of annoying. Because the whole day was a bus ride, I really pushed my limits and impressed myself on being able to hole my bladder for long periods of time. My final thoughts of Morocco: lots of cats, I love camels!, great mint tea, new skill for bargaining, beautiful country side, weird that 9 miles between Spain and Morocco can be so different, bladder power, and beautiful jewelry.
