Day 75: Madrid Day 3

I feel bad for saying this but I feel today we wasted a day in Madrid. All we did was go to museums ( Reina Sofia museum and El Prado). I'm definitely not an art fan and in my opinion it's actually a form of torture to do guided tours of the museum. The lady kept going on and on about random facts about the artist and when she described the art in a literal sense when it would be just as easy for me to actually look at the painting. El Prado was not as bad as the other museum because I think I enjoy realism the most with the exception of Dali and his surrealism. After the museum we walked around and got something to eat. My friends encountered their first pick pocketing experience. Two young teens approached our table and another table so we would be distracted from our neighbor table falling into their trap. They put a map over the table and asked for directions as a distraction to hide the process of taking the phone on the table. Luckily the Starbucks guy came running out and told us to grab our phones and chased the kids off. Madrid is known for pick pocketing. Cool statistic: the Madrid metro is riskiest of pickpocketing on Thursdays at 6 pm. Look it up. Besides that incident we went to the crystal palace and walked around in the garden. Nahe broke her ankle in the Pyrenees  and had been wheelchair bound for months so I got to push her around and I secretly loved it. I definitely got a workout and was sweating though. That night FSU had an optional flamenco and dinner we could go to. I'm not in love with flamenco but the passion and energy of the dancers and musicians are what make the dance beautiful. I would describe flamenco as passionate stomping.
