I'm studying abroad for my freshman year of college at Florida State University in Valencia, Spain! I will be traveling on the weekends and taking longer trips over the fall and spring breaks. I am so excited to explore and meet new friends!

Day 17
I had a solid 4 hour sleep before waking up at 6 this morning. My friends and I had planned on going to the montanejos hot springs but we realized that our bus ticket didn't take us to the correct location. Half of us went to the incorrect destination because we had heard that their was some hiking that we could do. Barracus, the name of the town we went to had 183 people populating it. We ate at a diner and made friends with a Ukrainian guy who worked there . His name was Igor and he moved to Spain in 2000. Then we went on a super long walk in the countryside of Spain and it was beautiful. The only problem wast hat we kept going off the path to try and reach this huge wind turbines that they had all along the hills but there were sharp plants and thorns that kept stabbing my feet and ankles since I was wearing Chacos. Ouch! Since we thought we would originally be going to montanejos our round trip tickets gave us a whole day of barracus from 10-5. Luckily we met a woman that helped us get on the 2:00 bus. It was my friend Jacqueline's birthday so we went back to the Asian restuarant and then had ice cream cake back at the dorms.
